Denny Alexander

So many great memories of traveling with Denny and Harriet and the AAU family. Denny was one of the good guys. He will be missed.

Denny was a huge influence in my life! He was the best brother-in Law I could of asked for. He was the best uncle to my children, Matt, Chris, Mykal and Tony Alexander! I cannot say enough about him and also Hattie, Dane, Dee, Dante and Dominic! The dedication that he had to the lord was amazing. Denny and Hattie guided me in so many ways that I will never ever forget. Denny.....Thank You for all you did for me and my children.. I have never looked at Denny and Hattie as my Ex-Brother & Sister-law!!! They will live in my life forever. Denny is with the lord as I know the LOVE he had for the BEST LIFE with JESUS CHRIST!!!! I LOVE YOU DENNY! My prayers are with Hattie and Dane, Dee, Dante And Dominic!!!

I feel so lucky and blessed to have known Denny and his awesome family. They embraced me as one of their own, as they did everyone. He will leave a permanent mark of Love on my heart and will be greatly missed. What a wonderful man Denny was. Now he is an Angel!

Our lives have been do blessed by your love. I know we are not related by blood but we have always considered you as family. You will never be forgotten. All our love and prayers to the Alexander family.

We have been so blessed to have known Denny and his abiding love and friendship. He is truely our Eternal Brother in Christ. For his encouragement and guidance we are forever grateful. Denny inspired us as he walked out his faith in Jesus Christ. Our lives are forever changed for the better by knowing Denny and walking along side him in this spiritual journey of life. A true masterpiece of God is what you were. You were a stand up guy Denny, not a follower, but a Leader. You and hattie have touched the lives of every soul you ever came into contact with. Your last conversation with me will always be remembered and treasured because it meant so much that you said what you did though i could tell it was a real struggle for you to talk. i will weep for the time we never had but i will praise God for taking you home where we will all be together again one day. I Loved you like a Brother and that doesn't change, but for now i'll have to wait to spend time with you until the Lord calls us Home. Hattie, i am so sorry, i know this is going to be very hard on you and I am here for you as always and will be praying for your family. This is a true man of God. When hearing of his death I was so saddened for the world. He and Mrs A. were able to reach so many lives. Then I realized the rejoicing in Heaven as He enters the Pearly Gates. The Dancing the Singing that must be going on. Yes he lived for Christ He gave all to students to fellow staff. His life a witness. Now is his time. He will walk and not be weary he will run and not faint. Please forgive me Lord I must add He can now Kick up his heals Dance a dance that would put Dancing with the Stars in Awe. God Blessed us with this Great Man His life a witness to all of us. Leting you know that you are all in our hearts and Prayers.

Denny Alexander was to me a true pastor of God's people. His tender heart and obvious love of the body of Christ blessed me greatly as I know it did everyone who knew him as pastor. His time as pastor of Living Water Four Square Church in Selah, Washington, was to short but left a legacy of an honorable man and servent of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who will never be forgotten. I counted both Denny And Hattie as my true friends in Christ. When my mother died unexpectedly I will never forget that they took time out of their busy schedules while visiting in Yakima to be at her memorial service. I hadn't seen them in years but it was as if they had never left when I saw them there. I will love and cherish my memories of this great couple always until I hope to see them both again together in our Lord's kingdom. Farewell dear friend. You were so special to me. Cathy Anderson

My heart is broken as I know the loss of Denny is so hard for those of us that are left. Our lives have been blessed with love and memories that we have had and that we share over the years. Denny will live in our heart forever. Hattie we are only a phone call away so call my friend when you need us. WE will share those times again when we all enter the Kingdom of God. The comments on this page and the anouncement in the Yakima paper this morning are a wonderful testament to Denny's faith and purpose in life. He made a difference for many! We were so saddened to hear of Denny's passing. It seems like just yesterday we were happily functionng as junior high students at Washington Jr. High. Denny has truly made his mark on this earth and we are all better people because we were blessed to have known him and his love for Jesus Christ. Mr. & Mrs. Alexander are two very special people. They both made such an impact on so many of us in our school years, that to this day it will never be forgotten. I am so sorry for your loss of this very special man. God bless you & your family.

What I will always remember about Denny (and you, Hattie) and cherish in my heart is the last few months before my Ron passed away and knowing two of God's most faithful servants were holding our heart-broken family up in prayer. And when you said, "We're praying for you," I knew you meant it. I know the bible says,"If you have the faith of a mustard seed..." but I'd much rather have your abundant faith. I imagine Denny is receiving his due crown and received a saint's welcome. My heart aches for you, Hattie, because I know the pain. So does God. I pray peace and comfort for you and your entire family.

I know that the hardest words to say are Good-Bye, but as a believer in Jesus, I know that you only need to say, "Until We Meet Again." I pray that everyone feels the comfort of knowing how strong his faith was and that he will now and forever be with his Lord.

What a fruitful life, Denny! We weren't really close at Davis, but I wish we had been...I envy those whose lives you touched in so many ways. We'll make up for lost time when I join you and the other Saints on those Golden Streets!

As you can see from the posting above, my fingers are not working well. We just heard from the Rippie's about Denny. A couple weeks ago several of us oldies were talking about the Yellow Sub days on the streets. We knew it was God's work
and he would protect us, but it never hurt to have Denny's 6 ft. plus walking with us little guys. And his physical size was
tiny compared to his spiritual presence. While it may seem to have been a long time ago, it was just a eye's blink and in
less time than that, many of us we will be seeing him again. God's peace

I was so saddened to read of Denny's passing. I remember you both from Davis and, of course, all the sports Denny was involved in. There are a few of us who were lucky enough to find our soul mates early in life. I am glad that you had many wonderful years together. I see that Denny lived a spirit-filled productive live. You must be very proud. My mother cared for Denny when he was just a young child. She went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2011. I am sure she has found him, and they are together again. May the Lord wrap his arms around you and hold your family especially close at this difficult time.

We are so sorry for your loss of such a great man! We haven't known your family long but have come to love you through the church as we just joined a year or so ago. Denny helped baptize John just last year and he will be in our memory of that day always. We have visions of Denny sitting at Jesus feet no longer in pain and just praising the Lord! I can't even describe the emotions I am feeling now and the deep sadness that I feel for your loss. While we who have been impacted by Denny and the entire Alexander family will grieve at the end of his physical life, we will also rejoice with the knowledge that he is finally with our LORD, free from pain and rejoicing with the saints at the feet of Jesus ... a race run and reward now recieved.
Denny, as my pastor and friend, along with his wonderful family taught me so many things about how to serve the LORD and for that I will be eternally grateful that they touched my life and look forward to the day I will see Denny again.

Alexander family,
I haven't seen you all in years but I wanted to let you know you're in my prayers. I have such great memories of Denny. Denny and Hattie were such a big part of my families walk with Christ. Knowing Denny was an honor and a privilege. Denny loved the Lord and the way he lived was proof of that. He was kind and slow to anger and loved the way Christ calls us to love. He had all of the characteristics that God calls his people to have and he was one of my favorite people. This world needs more people like Denny. The inner peace that he posessed carried over to his wife and children. They knew they were loved - there was no question. God will say "Well done - good and faithful servent". Denny will be mised by so many people that loved him. I pray for peace and comfort for the Alexander family during this difficult time.

Our heart pours out to your family. It's been many years since we have had the pleasure of spending time with you and Denny. In fact the last time was when Denny was that pastor at our wedding. We will always remember that day. It was a day of joy and new beginnings for Cathy and me. Blessed / renewed and remarried – all in the same day. Denny preformed the ceremony in true fashion of the LORD with all his heart and soul as if it were the first time all over again. I remember when Denny was the pastor of the church in Selah and I was the administrator. Sometime we did not see eye to eye and I loved Denny for that because he had such a vision and passion for the sheep - The LORD had ways of making it all work. Denny treated everyone as an equal. Was a great teacher and friend so many years ago

God put Hattie and Denny in my life the fall of 2004.I ment them at New Horizons Church, now called Christ Evangelical Church. The love and acceptance of me was immediate. Denny and I had many conversation about eternity and forgiveness. Denny taught me allot about forgiveness and what it means to forgive others and myself. That without forgiveness we cant love others or ourselves. I asked Denny and had awhile back to be my grandparents because I didnt have any and they accepted the job without hesitation and loved on me like one of their own. I will miss Denny so much but so thankful he is in a much better place. Thank You Alexander children for sharing your dad with me, he forever changed my life.

I have many great memories of Denny when we worked and coached together in Union Gap. Not a sporting event goes past with out someone bringing up Denny's name and asking, "Where is he coaching now?". Hattie and family I am so sorry for your loss. You and yours are in my prayers. God Bless

I am so sorry for you loss. Denny was a wonderful man! I never wanted to see him come back to the cancer center, but was always just plain happy to see him. He had the BEST smile in the world. Lit up the room even when he was in pain etc.. that smile when I told him I was sorry to see him back but we would take the best care of him.. yes.. the smile is what would melt the heart. I don't know why or how, but I never connected that Denny was Dante and Dominic's dad. I had worked with the two of them at the hospital years ago and once I made the correlation that was their dad.. I said, well no wonder why your sons are incredible!! Yes, all his kids are truly amazing and he left a legacy in all of you! I called and talked to Dee.. I am so sorry I can't make it to the celebration of life on Saturday, I am out of town. Please know I am there in spirit giving you all huge hugs!! Prayers to all of you. Rikka

Mrs. A and Family i am sorry for your loss. Mr. A will truely be missed I'm glad I got to visit when he married Celeste and grant. I think of you guys often especially every April 7 th when he married Dave and I twenty four years ago. I don't know if any of us "gappers" would have survived without your guidance. I love you all and we will see you on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. A were the first people to show me, by way of their example, that it is important to always remain faithful to truth, even when the world says you can't. Even though I took some wrong turns, especially in my younger years, their unconditional love and guidance never left my mind or my heart. I will be forever grateful for their influence and friendship. Knowing them made me want to be a better person.

Our Dear, Dear friends! Even though we haven't seen you for some time, it feels like it was only yesterday. Denny was such an important part of our lives and our childrens lives. Hattie, we will never forget our time with you at Selah Foursquare Church AND the years that you took Dusty & Kim under your wings at Union Gap. We love you more than words can express and Hattie, if there is anything we can do at anytime, please don't hesitate to let us know. We are living in sunny Arizona and if you would like to have some R & R in the sun we would totally love to have you come and stay with us for a few days (or longer). I am so sorry to hear of my cousin's passing. I haven't seen him since I was a young girl but he left a deep impact on my life. I kept up with him through an aunt of ours but, sadly, we all lost contact with our Washington relatives. Denny was a wonderful cousin and we always looked forward to seeing he and his family when they would come to Arkansas to visit. That was a time when we were all still in school so he would have been a young teenager at that time. My sympathy to all his family.

I was saddened to hear of Denny's passing. My family went to Washington when I was very young, but I still remember Denny and Hattie and some other of my cousins along with Aunty Ruth and Uncle Carol.
