Service Information

A Celebration of Keith's life will be held at Christ the King Church, 4173 Meridian St., Thursday, January 26th at 1:30 p.m.

Elliott "Keith" Farmer, 58, of Bellingham, passed away at home on January 10th after an eight month battle with cancer.

Born in Mayerthorpe, Canada, Keith was brought to the United States by his adoptive parents as a child.

Keith leaves behind his loving partner Rebecca Cook, dear friends Bill and Yuvonne Dunn, and Dennis Jefferson, brothers Don and Kevin Farmer, and a sister, Debbie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cary Andrew and Mary Louise Farmer, brother Jeff Farmer, and nephew Damien Farmer.

Keith lived in many places; Alaska, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Oklahoma and Florida. He would always say he lived the "Great Adventure", and he did know the art of telling an engaging and magnificent story. Some of his best stories came from his experiences as a seaman and fisherman from '76-'93, which included five years fishing in the Bering Sea. Keith also worked for Bellingham Cold Storage as a crane operator during the '90's and early 2000's.

But Keith's greatest joy came in the last ten years while working as a skilled carpenter and accomplished woodworker. He not only loved to build and he made intricately beautiful wooden boxes, shelves and puzzles.

Keith had the ability to repair almost anything. Anyone that knew Keith would say he was the hardest working man they ever met. He was extremely dependable, responsible and honest.

Keith was one in a million; an unbelievable presence and a true treasure. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Keith's life will be held at Christ the King Church, 4173 Meridian St., Thursday, January 26th at 1:30 p.m.
