John R. Stockman

Born March 3rd, 1930 in Falls City, Oregon to John Phillip and Georgia Virginia Stockman. Loving Father, John Richard Stockman passed away peacefully on July 5th, 2017 in Bellingham, WA.
John "Richard" grew up on the Olympic Pennisula in Port Townsend, Sequim and Carlsborg. He loved to spend many a day fishing, crabbing, clamming and hunting near these areas. He also met his High School Sweet Heart there, Phyllis Kennedy and shortly after that married and had five children. His family then spent time between the States of Washington & Arizona over a span of nearly 20 years.
John Richard moved to Bellingham, WA in 1965, where he married Shirley Cochran, which resulted in three more children. He became a member of the Bellingham Gun Club, where he shot Trap & Skeet for many years which he particularly enjoyed. He started his Career as a Commercial Electrician in 1963 & joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was a Union Member for well over 50 years. He was very proud of this accomplishment. John retired in 1990 and he met Joyce Nielsen and they stayed together until his most recent passing.
John lived a long, happy and vibrant life full of love and laughter, for which his Family and Friends are so blessed and grateful. John Stockman is survived by Partner, Joyce Nielsen, Son, Steven(Pat)Stockman, Granddaughter’s Shannon, Melissa & Kimberly Stockman, Children of John Stockman Jr.(deceased), Grandson Steven Sean Stockman (Angie) & Granddaughter, Lori Jane Stockman (Lynne), Son, Robin Stockman, Grandson’s Robin Jr & William Stockman, Granddaughter, Jennifer Stockman, Children of Michael Stockman (deceased), Grandson, Michael Keenan Stockman & Granddaughter, Kallie Felstad Daughters, Carla Nicely (Lee), Grandson, Robert Nicely & Granddaughter, Dawnie Guthrie, Kathy Stockman, Granddaughter’s Kelly Stockman & Carla Simmons, Richelle (Stockman) Isham (Carl), Grandaughter, Carly Isham & Grandson, Gus Steven Isham, along with Great Grand Children. Preceded in death by Sons John Richard Stockman, Jr., Jeff Stockman & Michael Stockman. Also preceded in death by his Brother, Vernon Stockman.
