Service Information

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for August 12th, 2:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Park in Bellingham

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our much-loved, mother, nana, sister, and friend Nancy Lee Amole, 54, longtime resident of Bellingham, Washington passed away July 19th, 2018 at Whatcom Hospice House with her children by her side. Nancy was born on September 6th, 1963 in Falls Church, Virginia. She was born and raised in Fairfax County, Virginia, the youngest daughter of Earle Byron Amole II and Ida Julia (Cochran) Amole.

Nancy raised her family in Bellingham, Washington. She loved the Pacific Northwest, flowers, photography, beading and making jewelry - particularly earrings, family ancestry, U.S. history, the Seattle Seahawks, Pearl Jam, and all things purple. Nancy was devoted to her family and her children. Her grandson Theo was the light of her life.

Nancy is survived by her two children, and their spouses: daughter Rhianon Leigh (Chase) Watkins, and Anthony George Watkins, of Mount Vernon, WA, son Zachary Andrew Chase, Catherine Chase, grandson Theodore Henry Chase of Bellingham, WA. Siblings Earle Byron Amole III of Florida, Carolyn (Amole) Bosela and spouse Anthony Bosela of Sterling, Alaska.

Nancy was a kidney transplant recipient. Through the gift of organ donation, the transplant that she received on July 5th, 2007 gave her an extra 11 years of life. Donate life. Please register to be an organ donor today if you have not already done so.

We will be holding a celebration of life to honor Nancy’s life on Sunday, August 12th, 2018 at the gazebo at Elizabeth Park at 2:00pm. Dress causal, purple encouraged, and hugs welcome. Look for the bubbles.

The family asks that donations in honor of Nancy may be made to the Mount Baker Kidney Center, or The Vitalogy Foundation.

She will be greatly missed, always and forever in our hearts.

Memories

From Andrew J Greenhall

So profoundly saddened to read this obituary today and so late. Nancy was a one of a kind person. We frequently talked or texted at length about our mutual conditions of health. She was so helpful and inspiring with her input. I have missed her.

I send my deepest condolences to all her family, which was a main focus for Nancy at all times. She was devoted to and loved her family so deeply.

Blessings , peace and continued strength to all her family.
