Margaret A. Stainton died peacefully Friday, September 2nd, 2011. She was born September 11,1921 to Charles and Alice Way in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.

She married W.J. (Jim) Stainton on June 6,1944 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They were married for 43 years when her husband Jim preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sisters Evelyn and Phyllis and brother Jack, also numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving her are her daughters Carol Hensley, Beth Kinkade, and Wendy Sinlan; granddaughters Carolyn, Michelle, Marja, and Lily; great-granddaughters Ashley, Meagan and great-grandson James Colton.

Margaret was an active member of the Bellingham West congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 31 years. And enjoyed teaching others what she had learned about the Bible. She had many hobbies including gardening and cooking for her family. Through the years she and her husband Jim enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and traveling together. As a lover of music she enjoyed attending operas and musicals with her family.

Her grandchildren fondly remember playing “dress-ups” at her house, having tea parties, playing cards, and how she loved to cook their favorite foods.

She was dearly loved by her entire family and will be greatly missed.

Her family would like thank the staff at Shuksan Healthcare Center for their kind, loving professional care of their mother.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to either the Watchtower Society for their World Wide Bible education work or to the Eden Fund at Shuksan Healthcare Center.

Memories

From Shephard, Emma Jean

Wendy, Beth, Carol and family:
Our hearts go out to you at this time. Your mother was a lovely, gentle, and kind person and will always be remembered for her many fine qualities. Hopefully, you will find comfort in knowing that you took good care of your mother. Your love and concern for her were a fine example to all of us. How wonderful it will be to welcome Margaret back when 'all those in the memorial tombs' are resurrected to a wonderful life on a paradise earth.
Love, Jim and Emma
