Service Information

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Squalicum Boat House from 1-3 PM. A light lunch will be served after the service. 

On Thursday, March 2, 2023, Robert "Robbie" Anderson went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 74. He was surrounded by his loving family. Robbie was born on December 10th, 1948, in Bellingham, WA, to Robert and Betty (Raplee) Anderson.

Robbie attended Shoreline and Bellingham High School. He served in the United States Army from January 1968 to January 1974. Robbie was an aircraft mechanic and repairman. He became a Sargent and received the Vietnam Air medal, national defense service medal, Vietnam service medal, and Vietnam campaign medal. He was an employee of Matrix Service for 40 years. Robbie valued his relationships with his family and his friends. Robbie always said family is number one, he was loyal to the core.

Robbie was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, camping, softball, bowling, and spending time with family. He was known for his quick wit, integrity, humility, and the best hug in the world. He led by example, which made him a great mentor and leader. He shared his expertise in mechanics, welding, and fishing with anyone in need.

Robbie was preceded in death by his father, Robert Anderson mother, Betty (Raplee) Anderson, his sister Paula Anderson, and brother Mike Anderson. He is survived by his Daughter Nicole (Anderson) York, Son-in-law Jake York, stepdaughter Tara Johnson, and stepson Kelby Hein. His Grandchildren Mekayla, Dakota, Brayden York, Miranda and Jackson Huss, and Paige Hein. His Sister Sharon (Tim) Brennen, brother Ron (Karen) Anderson, Sister Lynette Etter, and numerous nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his Matrix family and many close friends he considered family.
