Michael Patrick Maguire
A Celebration Of Life will be held Feb. 25 at 1:00 pm at the Lummi Island Congregational Church. It will be a happy time of sharing favorite memories of Mike, followed by a potluck.
Michael Patrick Maguire was born in Seattle on March 26, 1950 and passed away Dec. 28, 2016 in Burlington, WA. He was 66. Mike fought a 10 month long courageous battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his son Darby Maguire, son Brady Maguire, daughter-in-law Ashley Brown-Maguire and grandson Declan Maguire of Mt. Vernon. He was pre deceased by his father Dr. Richard X. Maguire, mother Barbara Anderson, step father Dr. Anderson (Andy) and two sisters Maureen and Sheila Maguire all of Mt. Vernon, WA. Michael graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and Fairhaven College in Bellingham (WWU) in Environmental Science with a concentration in Raptorial Studies. Michael was a master falconer whose knowledge of birds was extensive and quite contagious to those who knew him. Mike was a resident of Lummi Island for over 18 years and had many friends on the Island.
