Service Information

A memorial/reception will be held for Craig on April 25th from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the Bloedel Donovan Park community building, 2214 Electric Ave., Bellingham, WA. (I-5 to Lakeway Drive exit, head East to Electric Ave. and turn left. Follow the road, the park will be on your right).

Craig La Plante, 43, passed away in his sleep at home on Sunday April 13.

He was born in Edmonds WA to Robert La Plante and Debby (Strom) Massingale. He attended school in Seattle WA., his hobbies included working on cars, watching wrestling, listening to music, fishing, and being around family.

He is survived by his parents Robert and Johanna La Plante of Arlington and Debby Massingale and Mike Lewis of Bellingham; his grandmother Geraldine La Plante of Stanwood; sisters Lisa Wood of Stanwood and Tracy Smith of Bellingham; brothers Kenneth La Plante of Bellingham and Brandon Lewis of Bellingham; his children Erik La Plante of Everett and Monica Ashenfelter of Kake, AK; uncles Dennis Strom of Ferndale WA and Doug Strom of Everett; Aunt and Uncle Diane and Dale Strom of Ferndale WA; cousins Candace (Bruce) Colson of Stanwood; Dawn (Kevin) Powell of Arlington; Lester Fairall, Greg Strom, Christy Strom all from Ferndale WA. Mark Strom of Everett; Amanda Strom of Bellingham; Nieces Jasmine Zell, Courtney Smith and Maddy Smith all of Bellingham WA and Jesse Jackson of Arlington; one grandchild and one great niece.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers; Lester La Plante of Bellingham and Kenneth Strom of Bellingham; his grandmother Olga Rossing LaPlante of Bellingham; and nephew Michael Julian Hartness of Seattle.

My brother Craig..
I miss u everyday, I wish things were different & it feels so strange that your gone, makes it so difficult to accept, but I don't really have much of an option! It sucks hella that u had to leave so soon! I just pray u are with r other relatives, Michael, Dale & Mama too, & all the others, especially God & the angels too! Miss u so much big brother, I do remember all the fun times we shared while growing up & as adults! I remember we used to do so much together, was lots of fun hanging out with u & causing trouble sometimes....lol....Well I pray u are happy in heaven & I will see u when God calls me hm too! Love n miss u brother!!
