Richard Mack Wyatt

Richard Mack Wyatt, age 83, peacefully stepped over into Glory, Sunday January 23, 2022, at home in Mount Vernon. He was born in Spokane, Washington May 17, 1938, the youngest of four children. He grew up in the Edmonds area, cared for by his loving sisters and brother. He was a resident of Skagit County for over 50 years.

Richard was trained in lathe and plaster and residential carpentry. He helped build a church on College Way, Mt. Vernon, and trained his children, nephews, and many of his friends in carpentry.

He had great passion for giving to others; lending an extra hand, caregiving, even giving his own shirt off his back.

Richard loved all types of music. In his younger years he sang in an acapella group and for years in church as a worship leader.

He loved the times he could travel, highlights being a trip to the Philippines with his Pastor and friends working on a mission trip, and a trip to Australia to visit a longtime friend and his family.

Richard enjoyed nature, wildlife, fishing, camping and staying active.

Preceding Richard in death were his parents Earl Marion Wyatt, Dorothy Evelyn Newinger and his brother Earl Wyatt.

Richard’s survived by his wife of 47 years, Jeannie. Sisters Patricia Osborne and Dorothy Dolan. Daughters Gia Frank, Sarah Wyatt, Beth Wyatt, daughter in-law Andrea Nelson, and son, Scott Wyatt. Grandchildren, Jonathan Frank, Stephanie Frank, Alissa Tregoning, April Roedell, Abigail Wyatt, grandsons, Tristan Keane and Brayden Nelson. Great grandchildren, Tyler Frank, Chole Frank, and Oakley Hesseltine. Richard loved the Lord and his family very much; his smile, love and compassion will be missed.
