Brandon W. Gipson

Service Information

A celebration of life will be this summer, Sunday, August 3rd at Hovander Park Group Picnic Shelter – 5299 Nielsen Rd, Ferndale, WA.  Please bring your favorite memories, stories, and laughter while we celebrate Brandon’s life.

Brandon W. Gipson, age 42, tragically passed away in a workplace accident with Whatcom County Public Works on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025.  Born January 16th, 1983 in Carmichael, CA to John Gipson and Melynda Reiter.  Brandon leaves behind his wife, Karie, daughter, Cerinaty, parents, brothers, and sisters.  He is also preceded in death by his brother.

Brandon was a beloved & devoted husband, father, friend & co-worker.  His wife, Karie Gipson, was his entire world, his best friend.  The special bond they shared was unlike any other.  They shared an amazing 12 years together; a lifetime would never be enough for him.  He was an awesome father who loved his daughter, Cerinaty, to the moon and back.  He loved making her smile and laugh.

His friendship was one of a kind. He loved making people laugh and enjoyed being outdoors. His laugh was infectious and boisterous – it will hold a special place in all of our hearts.  His sense of humor and the sound of his laugh will be greatly missed -  along with that red beard. His work crew were not only his co-workers, but also his friends. He worked hard at his job and he also worked hard to show gratitude. He looked forward to each day  with the guys - his work family.

Brandon served our country in both the Army and the Marine Corp.  He was passionate about the military and loved connecting with local service members, as well as those he served with over the years.

Brandon will be greatly missed by many.  He had an amazing impact on many people during his short time here on earth.  He leaves a hole in many hearts now that he is so tragically gone, but we know he is looking down, shining his light on everyone he loved.
