Christian Joseph Glenn Guier
A celebration of life will be held at The Squalicum Boathouse on May 4th , 2025, from 5-7pm.
Christian Guier, age 30, passed away unexpectedly in Bellingham. His life, though marked with hardship, was filled with love, strength and resilience.
Christian was born in Eugene Oregon and spent the first few years of his life living on the Oregon coast. He spent those days with his feet in the sand, and his hands in the dirt. Eventually Christian would come to Bellingham and call that home for the remainder of his days. At age 10 he became a big brother to Jax and Emma, the lights of his life. The love that he had for his siblings was the most tender part of him. He lived every day wanting to be a good big brother. He had a love of the outdoors, preferring that over the walls that made him feel closed in. He was born with a love of boats and often dreamed of buying a yacht and sailing away. The harbor brought him peace.
Christian spent hundreds of hours on Galbraith Mt., a place he felt safe, except that one time he got lost and had to have a search and rescue helicopter locate him. He loved spending time painting rocks, coloring pictures for Jax and Emma, and he loved to spend money on people. It was not uncommon for his family to come home to amazon
boxes filled with tapered candles, incense and religious relics. Always in bulk. He lived simply, loved God, and wasn’t afraid of what comes next.
Christian’s life was not easy. He faced struggles that would have broken many, yet despite the pain, Christian never
lost his child like joy. He had a caring smile that could soften even the hardest of days, and a sense of humor that reminded us that there is light in the darkness.
Christian leaves behind a family that loved him dearly. He had a profound, unique and unbreakable bond with his mother, Lisa Coenmans. A stepdad, Frank Coenmans, who supported and loved him. His siblings, Emma and Jax Coenmans, who he would move heaven and earth for. He leaves behind his father Randall McWillis, his grandparents, Bill and Josie Wicker, Betsy Ballentine and Sue McWillis.
Christian’s story is a reminder that every life, no mattered how troubled, holds beauty, love and meaning. He was the perfect teacher on how to love unconditionally, how to be brave, how to fight for what is right, how to be nonjudgmental, and most beautifully how to forgive.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
