Cindy Amos
There will be a gathering to celebrate her life at a later date.
We are sad to tell of the passing of our sister, mother, and very long life-partner, Cindy Amos. She passed on Jan 15, 2024.
Cindy grew up with caring and loving parents on a farm in Whatcom County. In her younger years, Cindy enjoyed doing anything, as long as it was outdoors. She enjoyed camping, hiking, horseback riding and 4-wheeling. In her teen years she taught herself mechanics and how to work on vehicles. She got so good at it that people were coming to her to fix their cars!
If she was interested in learning about something and she had no-one to teach her, she taught herself. She graduated from Meridian High School. Shortly after graduation, she went long-hauling with a friend down the coast to California and back.
Cindy also had a special way with animals. She trained horses for people and taught the owners proper horse care.
She was full of laughter and loved life. She would help anyone in need.
Cindy had a daughter that she loved very much. Her daughter, Trisa Reilly, lives in West Virginia with her partner Tiffany Highley.
Cindy was preceded in death by both her parents, Richard and Beatrice Amos, her older brother, Harry Amos and older sister Kathy Holz; and two baby brothers, Steven and Thomas Amos.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Trisa and partner Tiffany; her forever partner of twenty-three years, Jody Coble; as well as her siblings and their spouses; Harry (deceased) and Ellie Amos of Arizona, Kathy (deceased) and Jerry Holz of Oregon, Mike Amos of Maple Falls, Chris and Skip Flynn of Maple Falls, Richie Amos of Sedro Woolley, Debra Amos Braaten of Bellingham, Dave Amos of Bellingham, Bob Amos of Oregon, Kitty and Mark White of Deming, and Ray Amos of Bellingham; and nephews and nieces too numerous to list.
Cindy left us too early and will be missed forever.
In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Debra Braaten, 1720 Iron St., Bellingham WA 98225.
