Service Information

Please join us for a memorial service at Cornwall Church, in the loft on August 10th at 1:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life. 

Darlene Ruth Randmel, born August 6th, 1953, gained her angel wings and was welcomed into the Heavenly gates on November, 12th 2022. 
Darlene was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington by her parents Ruth and Benjamin Randmel. She was raised in a large family of seven kids total. She graduated from Bellingham high school in 1971, the same year as her brother Benjamin Jr, and sister Star Hovander. She later had three children, 19 months apart Michal Rose, Star Lind , and Navarone Benjamin (Randmel). She re-located to Ferndale Washington where she raised them.

Darlene will be missed tremendously, and her testimony here on earth will be cherished, remembered and honored. She was a very strong willed woman who always stood up for what she believed in. She loved to write her deepest thoughts, feelings and prayers. She left behind some great journals and prayers to for us to have forever. Darlene had a love for all children, a gift for healing and giving unconditional love and forgiveness. She always found a way to bring peace and comfort to the lost and broken. She lived for her family and thrived through the love of her children and grandchildren. She had an undeniable beauty that is unforgettable. We will always remember her positive vibes and assurance of God's love and everlasting peace. 

She joined her parents Ruth and Benjamin Randmel, brothers Benjamin Jr, Bernard and sister-in-law Tasha Randmel, Bart Randmel, and grandsons Cody and Liam Slayton. 

Darlene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michal and Hunter Slayton, son Navarone Randmel, daughter Star Randmel, grandchildren Kinsley Slayton and Myles Ellingsen, sister and brother-in-law Star and Steve Hovander, sister Leona Mount, brother Bret Randmel, and the father of her 3 children, Gregory Gowens, along with many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Need to do an obit for our Daughter Christy Lynn Baisden. Christy was born in Seattle, Washington on September 17. 1959 to Robert Lee and Wilna Jean Blockley Baisden. She was born a Downs Syndrome girl and was Loved by everyone who knew her. She love to watch the Seattle MARINERS on TV and also loved to sing the Star Spangled Banner in the 7th inning brake and Kumbye my Love. Christy did not know all the word of the song she sang but she did most of the words and add her own for the one she couldn't remember. Christy is survived by her Mom, Dad and 3 younger brothers Troy Alan and Wife Tammy Baisden, Robert Lee and wife Liz Baisden III and Wm John and his wife Jolene, She had 2 great nephews Trent and Trevor Baisden and wonderful great nieces Tara. Nazlyn and Syeni Jackson, Tiffany .and Tony Flanagan and Little Joe and Katie, Jovana and Jessa Baisden. Christy was preceeded in death by her favorite niece Sarah Frances Baisden who was killed by a drunk driver on September 16, 2011 just a few hours before Christy's 52nd birthday. Christy loved going to St Peter's Catholic Church and she Loved sharing her money with her church.
