Diane Elizabeth LaPeyre
Diane Elizabeth LaPeyre, born September 5, 1961, in Montreal, Canada, to Janet and Malcolm Elliot, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, in Birch Bay, Washington, surrounded by loved ones. She was 63 years old.
Diane is survived by her devoted husband, Kelly Dale LaPeyre, and their six children. She was a loving mother to Emily Fournier and Sara da Cruz and a cherished stepmother to Brittany McGeehan, Pyper Juarez, Kinnzie LaPeyre, and Kristopher LaPeyre. Diane also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren: Molly, Tessa, and Charlee Fournier, and Charlie Juarez.
Diane’s heart was as big as her love for her family, her dogs, and life’s simple joys. She had a special fondness for her dachshunds, dedicating almost 20 years to rescuing and fostering countless pups who needed a home. Her kindness extended to every living thing, and her warm presence was a comfort to all who knew her.
Diane found happiness in life’s little indulgences—a perfectly made latte, a spirited hockey game, a handful of Peanut M&Ms, and the quiet moments shared with those she loved. Whether sipping her favorite coffee or sneaking a treat for her sweet tooth, she embraced joy everyday, reminding us all to savor life’s simple pleasures.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local dog rescue in honor of Diane’s memory, ensuring her love for animals continues to make a difference.
Diane Elizabeth LaPeyre will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her boundless love, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. Her legacy of compassion, kindness, and sweet, simple joys will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Growing up with you, with us only being three days apart, I have so many fond memories of us, at the farm in Abbotsford and Christmas time making Christmas decorations with our children, I can’t imagine this world without your wonderful sense of humour and loving heart 💔 Our love goes out to Kelly and your Children and all the family and friends that will miss your beautiful presence in this world❤️

Diane was a breath of fresh air. I had the pleasure of working with her and serving in the LaMarque Lions club. She will be missed. Prayers to the family.

Wishing Kelly and all of your kids and grandkids the biggest condolences. Although it's been a few years since I've seen Diane in person, she was a wonderful friend who kept in touch even as miles transcended us when we moved out of province and then when she moved out of BC also. She was a wonderful boss when we worked together, but an even better friend. Big hugs to you all.

I have been friends with Diane for over 35 years . My journey with Diane ,over those years ,was crazy fun, with silly shenanigans and joyous laughter. How befitting that Diane left us on the first day of spring.
My heart goes out to Kelly the children , grandchildren and all their extended family.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I want to begin by offering my heartfelt condolences and prayers to Diane’s family. Diane often spoke lovingly of her husband and family, they meant the world to her. We had the pleasure of serving together in the La Marque Lions Club, sharing countless laughs and joyful moments. Her presence always brought light and warmth, and I feel truly heartbroken by her passing. Still, I know her love and spirit will continue to live on in everyone who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, my dear friend.
