Donna Marie Hill

Donna was born in San Diego, California June 15, 1961, to Jerome and Evelyn Hill. Donna
passed peacefully at Bellingham Hospice after a battle with breast cancer.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Jerome; her mother, Evelyn; her brothers, Steve,
Eddie, and Danny; as well as her sisters, Michelle and Denise.
Donna leaves behind her beloved Daughter Allie Paul, Grandson, AJ Saucedo,
Mother Patty Dennis, who took Donna in at 17 and siblings Jon, Michelle, and Jess.
After Donna’s parents passed, she spent time from age 10 to 16 with a variety of family
members on both her father’s and mother’s side. She lived in Florida, California and then as a
teenager she settled with Mother Patty’s family in Edmonds area of Washington State.
At 19 years old, Donna went to fish in Alaska and met new friends from Bellingham; she
decided to settle in Bellingham but spent periods of time in the Edmonds and Aberdeen areas.
Throughout her life she worked in customer service industries, Intalco Aluminum, and the
Washington State ferries.
Her last work was her passion. She advocated, volunteered, and provided for the homeless
youth. She would spend hours downtown with young teenagers helping them get housing,
making sure they were safe. She gained trust and made lifelong friends.
As a young adult Donna would go out with friends and dance the night away. She loved music
and dancing. You would often see Donna dancing anywhere, anytime. She created art, and
incredible gifts of love for her friends. Donna built connections wherever she travelled,
earning admiration in every community she joined.
Her greatest joy and love are her daughter and grandson, with whom she spent her life
providing care and making sure they had what they needed. She would walk to the end of the
earth for these two loves of her life. She fought her cancer to the end, making sure her
daughter and grandson had the support of friends she always had through her life.
Know that Donna is smiling and dancing on her next journey. RIP Donna Marie Hill!
