Dorothy was born in Sumas, WA, March 7th, 1946, to Ralph J. Romberg and Dorothy (DeBondt) Romberg. Raised in Sumas, WA, she was the youngest of 7 children. She graduated from Nooksack HS in 1964. She was close with her siblings and family. She will be monumentally missed. We loved her so much.
She lived and worked most of her life in Whatcom County having worked 41 years at Georgia Pacific until her retirement. This is where she met the love of her life Richard Womack and they were married in 1968 until his passing in 2019. They lived the past 30 years in Ferndale, WA.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, antiquing, snow-birding in Texas, roadtrips, Reno and spending time with family and friends. One of her favorite things was family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters April (Blair) Walker, Meredith (Colin) Koehler, and her 4 grandchildren Cassi Walker, Kimberly (Dustin) van Dommelen, Corwin Koehler, Violet Koehler, and 2 great-grandchildren — Parker and Peyton. Also survived by her sisters Marjorie Wymer of Poulsbo, WA; Judith (Richard) White of Woodinville, WA; and a brother Duane (Janet) Romberg of Chugiak, AK. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews, many family and friends who remember her fondly and will miss her dearly.
Preceded in death by her husband Richard of 50 years, her loving parents, 2 brothers - Ralph "Bud" Romberg, John Romberg, and a sister Gertude (Lapinsky) Romberg.
