Service Information

A celebration of Florence’s wonderful life will be arranged by the family at a later date. They
will share details once plans are finalized.

Florence Miller, 77, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, in Custer, Washington. Born to Florence and Beryl Wheeler on January 26, 1948, in Chewelah, Washington. Florence lived a life marked by hard work, deep love for her family, and a heart full of kindness.

Throughout her life, Florence embraced many roles with dedication and care. Many of her fondest memories stem from the family farm in Finely where she enjoyed milking the Jersey cow for fresh butter and feeding the family with animals and foods grown right at home. She worked at a sugar plant in Moses Lake and later served as a housekeeper for motels. Her strong will and dedication led her to run a restaurant in Deary, where she became known for her unforgettable maple bars and cinnamon rolls—treats that brought joy to many. Later in her career, she worked for PAML in Spokane. There, she took great pride in ensuring that patient lab samples were handled with the utmost care and delivered properly—a reflection of her strong sense of responsibility and compassion.

Florence’s warmth extended far beyond her professional life. She had a loving heart, listening ears, kind eyes, and a soft touch that comforted all who knew her. She found joy in the simple pleasures: being outdoors, visiting with family, snuggling with any animal willing to curl up beside her. Whether playing with children or reminiscing with her adult kids and grandkids, Florence was always present—offering encouragement and love without hesitation. She was everyone’s biggest fan.

She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Donna, Berl (Barney), and Ruth; daughters Diana and Tina (Gary); sons Bob (Tammy) and Rich; grandchildren Kylo(Jessica), Yvonne (Dan), Alisha (Chris), Cassandra(Sean), Kayonna, Riley, Jacki (Nolan), Kerri (Bryant), Ashley (Daniel), Natasha (Phillip), Jacob, Dameion, Aly, and Harvey; as well as twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Sharon.

May the memory of Florence Miller bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

Grandma, you were ALWAYS there for me, no matter what. I'll never forget you making me waffles caked in peanut butter and syrup when I was having a rough patch. You were ALWAYS there for me. After my stroke, you'd watch Maelyn while I was at my appointments. You eased my "learning how to be a mommy" anxiety. You always spoke positivity in my life. We always were there for each other for laughs, while we cried and for the tough times. We could always count on each other. I'd take you to get pumpkin milkshakes to get you outta the house. Told ya, best milkshakes in town! 🤤 I miss giving you butterfly kisses and giving you big hugs. You'll forever be in my heart and on my mind. Our little Mae Mae is so blessed to have such a wonderful and impactful great grandma in her life. Your beautiful spirit is living in all of us. We got it from here. Keep watching over us. I love you beautiful!!
