Greg passed peacefully December 19, 2023 after fighting cancer for 4 years. He was born April 25, 1963 to Sharon Smith and Greg Finnson Sr. Preceded in death by his mother Sharon and father Gregory Sr.
Survived by brother Darin Finnson and wife Brenda and stepmom Vivian Lee Finnson
Niece Ashley Taylor Shaw and husband Benjamin.
After years battling alcoholism and substance abuse he continued his education and worked as a counselor for others with the same problems. He attended Whatcom Community College receiving the honor of Phi Theta Kappa.
At University of Ca at Berkeley he achieved Phi Beta Kappa.
Also attended Rutgers University and
University of Pennsylvania. He achieved a Masters degree and only needed to complete a thesis for his phd.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice Care of Whatcom county would be appreciated.
