Service Information

A memorial service will be held on June 12, 2025, at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where her ashes will be interred alongside her husband.

Isabelle May Day, age 90, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, in Bellingham, Washington.

Born in Everett, Washington. Married Kenneth Day on February 14, 1951. She worked hard her entire life in raising and helping to provide for their two daughters and five sons. She lived most of her life in western Washington, spending her later years in Idaho and finally returning to Washington state for the remainder of her life.

She was a creative soul and made up bedtime stories for her children, taught them how to use scraps from magazines to make pieces of art. She sent family members homemade birthday cards.

The warmth of her love for her family and others was made tangible in the afghans she crocheted for them.

She was exemplary in her faith and taught her children about God with stories from the Bible. She served devotedly in her church and especially enjoyed teaching the children there the gospel.

Isabelle is survived by her brother Gerald Haddox; daughters Aleta (the late Don) and Ruth McNabb (Donald); sons Kenneth, David (Nancy), James (Rohanie), and Aaron (the late Tami); twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, son Joseph, and grandson Michael.
