Jamie (Joe) Edward McCaskill Jr.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jamie (Joe) Edward McCaskill Jr, 74, passed away peacefully at his home in Bellingham, on November 15th.
He was born in Tempe AZ, the son of Midge and the late Jamie (Jim) McCaskill.
Joe was a lifelong member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lynden.
He was employed by and owner of A-1 Transmission service Inc.; he had a talent for building transmissions for race cars and tractor pull tractors. He was known for his one-line dad jokes and quirky taste in music. He loved traveling and visiting every tourist trap, cave attraction, or historical site along the way. He was known as a kind, gentle, soft spoken and generous man who deeply loved his family.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Beverly, and younger brother Arthur.
Joe is survived by his two sisters, Diane (Rick Myers) and Dawn (David Walton). He is also survived by four daughters; Heather (Rory Walley) WA, Chanda (William Fogelsong) AZ, Spring (Ernest Hall) Ont., Mandy (Richard Cross) WA; as well as 12 grandchildren; Jo-jo, Jacob, Odessa, Orion, Madison, Tony, Violet, Oliver, Ivy, Eli, Caleb, and Charlie and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
