Kenneth Barry Liebscher

Kenneth Barry Liebscher, 81, of Blaine, WA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on November 1, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, on December 6, 1942, Ken spent his early years in Quesnel and Williams Lake, BC. He worked for Dentsply for 25 years in British Columbia and Ontario, Canada, before moving the family to California. After retiring, Ken moved to Blaine, WA, where he lived in Semiahmoo for 32 years. 

Ken was very involved in his children’s sports as a coach, referee, and umpire. He was also an avid golfer and poker player. Ken was known for his astute business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit. Later in life, Ken and his wife Joan were passionate about traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joan; daughter Kim, son Sean and his wife Leslie; four grandchildren, Jared, Hannah, Carter, and Avery; and many wonderful cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack Martin Liebscher and Marion A. (Pickard), and sister Sally. Ken’s warmth, kindness, and his love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Whatcom Hospice Team for their compassionate care and support.
