Michael E. Amos, age 75, of Maple Falls passed away at his home December 21, 2024. He was born August 12, 1949 to parents Richard and Bea (DuBois) Amos in Bellingham, WA. Michael (Mike) was one of the older siblings of eleven brothers and sisters.
Mike graduated from Meridian High School and then drafted into the Army to serve in Vietnam. After the army he worked as a truck driver and heavy machine operator for Henifin, Ludke, Eddie Markham and Premium Services.
Mike went on to own two successful businesses, Mt Baker Sandblasting & Painting and then Mike Amos Excavating where he designed and installed septic systems and other land prep all over Whatcom County.
Mike spent his retirement doing what he loved, whether he was riding his side by side up in the woods, buying old cars to make them into hot rods to take to car shows or just making his rounds on Sundays to visit friends and family. He was always helping friends, family and neighbors.
Mike loved his family. Survived by children Scott (Molly) Amos, Vikki (Tracy) O’Flaherty, Six grand children Katy (Tyler), Tyler (Ona), Christian (Caley), Emily (Mikayla), Natalie (Payton) and Noah. He also had eight great grandchildren.
