Nancy Ann (Fuller) Armstrong passed away unexpectedly but peacefully of sepsis on March 4, 2025 in Bellingham, WA at St. Joseph Hospital.

Nancy was born in Wichita, Kansas August 31,1937. She was 87.

She is survived by daughter Kathleen (Kathy) and son-in-law Peter Davis, son Stanley (Stan) Armstrong. Grandchildren Joshua, Jonathan and Jessica Davis and Daniella and Nicole (Ferguson) Armstrong. And great-grandchildren Destini, Jonathan, Jordin and Holli.

Nancy, “Grammie”, loved every one of her family deeply and she will be sorely missed by them.

At this point, she is now enjoying a spectacular reunion with her two sisters, “Bobby” and Margie, beloved parents, grandmother, husband and several “best friends” who have entered heaven before her.

Nancy attended Oklahoma University and got her teaching degree. While there she met her husband, David. They were married 61 years.

Even though Nancy taught only for a few scattered years, the old saying, “Once a teacher, always a teacher” held true for her. Everything she did for her offspring was in teaching form. Whether leading the Girl Scout troop, camping, tutoring special needs children, being Home Room Mother or giving learning style gifts. She, herself, kept actively learning whether nutrition and health, politics and the Bible right up to the the week she passed on.

For many years she was Secretary to her husband in his architectural and planning projects career. She typed several reams of paper documents filling several boxes over the years.

Nancy was very involved in the philanthropic group, Assistance League of Bellingham where she led students on walking tours called Art-A-Foot through WWU’s campus studying the sculptures. She worked in their ALB Thrift shop, and was President one year and has continued for decades having lunch dates with some of the past officers. She considered them her dear friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Assistance League of Bellingham, 2817 Meridian St, Bellingham, WA 98225 or Christ The King Community Church.

Nancy Armstrong was a beautiful woman both inside and out. She was filled with love not just for her own family and children, grandchildren, but everyone that she met. You couldn't help but love Nancy back. She will be greatly missed here on earth, but we know she is rejoicing in heaven with her Lord and savior. There is no better place to be than our forever home!

From David & Kathy …

It is with heavy hearts that we remember our dear neighbor, Nancy Armstrong, who passed away on March 4, 2025. For over forty years, since 1984, Nancy was a constant and cherished presence in our lives and on our street.

Nancy was, quite simply, a sweet person and a lovely lady. Her gentle spirit and kind demeanor touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. She possessed a quiet grace that radiated warmth and made everyone feel welcome. Whether it was a friendly wave across the yard, a brief chat by the mailbox, or a comforting word during a difficult time, Nancy always offered a moment of genuine connection.

She was a steady, reliable presence in our neighborhood, a part of the fabric of our community. Her long-term residence here meant she witnessed the changing seasons of our lives, sharing in our joys and offering support during our sorrows. We remember her with fondness, recalling her gentle smile and the peaceful atmosphere she created around her.

The absence of her presence will be deeply felt. We will miss her quiet strength, her gentle spirit, and the simple, yet profound, kindness she extended to us all. Though she is no longer with us, the memory of Nancy Armstrong, our sweet and lovely neighbor, will forever remain in our hearts.

From Jonathan Davis

Nancy "Grammy" was a very special person. One of a kind.
There was & will be no one like her.
I have so many good memories growing up with her as my Grandma. She was a huge presence growing up. Always teaching something, as she was a teacher. Always had good ideas of something fun to do when we were children, same as she did for her grand children & great grand child.

I will miss her at all of our Holiday's. Christmas we knew to expect our fruit boxes & Christmas song CDs.

She always wrote long sweet greeting cards for Christmas & birthdays etc. Always told me how proud she was of me. She always asked about each grand children Destini, Jonathan (Jay) & Jordin. She was so proud of them all. Always commented how beautiful & handsome they are. How fast they grow.

Now God gets to enjoy your company. You will be greatly missed until we see you again.

Nancy has been out neighbor for many years and was always a smiling and cheerful presence to have around despite suffering difficulties herself. She led an exemplary life and is to be admired for her quiet courage and fortitude.
She was truly a special lady and is already missed on the block.
