R. Michelle Belfield

Service Information

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

On August 11, 2025, Shelly Belfield was called home after a courageous battle with dementia.

Born R. Michelle Warner on December 6, 1954, in Saginaw Michigan to parents Duane Warner and Joan Holbin, Shelly moved to the Skagit Valley in 1980.

Shelly had an artist’s eye and a poet’s hand, finding and creating beauty whenever she could. She had a passion in the kitchen and loved sharing her creations from her garden harvests with her friends and family.  Shelly had the most beautiful blue eyes but her dirty looks could stop traffic. If you knew Shelly, you knew that if she was talking you were safe, if she was quiet, you should be concerned, and if she was laughing, you should be running.

Shelly was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Penni Miller, Mary Warner-Townsend and Wendy Anderson and her granddaughter, Nadia Brown.

Shelly is survived by her husband and best friend, Tim Belfield, her children, Jason Brown of Marysville, WA and Melissa (Terry) Andersen of Alaska, her beloved grandchildren; Jordyn Rea, Ariana Brown and Joshua Rea, siblings, Beth (Jim) Todd of Midland Michigan and Thomas Warner of Sedro Woolley Washington, and mom, Judy Warner of Midland Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Northwest.
