A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends.

Scott Ryan Heathers, 47, passed away on June 14, 2026 of natural causes. He was born on August 18, 1978 to Curtis Heathers and Twyla (Heathers) Haynes in Bellingham, Washington where he lived for almost 48 years. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1997.

Scott proudly worked for The Bellingham Herald for several years as a night crew member bundling newspapers. He also took pride in having a paper route in high school.

He bought a home in Bellingham with his older brother Chris. His younger brother Jeff eventually moved in too. They were the 3 musketeers. Scott loved spending time with his brothers.

Scott enjoyed drawing, writing stories, music, television, movies, and listening to his police scanner. He had a talent for wiring and fixing electronics. He liked the challenge of making something work again.

He is survived by his father Curt Heathers, brother Chris Heathers (Angela Galbraith), sister Holly Sebastian (Chris) and son Maverick, brother Jeff Heathers and sons Noah, Riley, and Jordan, step-brother Josh Haynes (Tina) and daughter Peyton, step-sister Leann Irwin (Will) and children Kaleb, Wyatt, and Kaitlyn, and half-sister Ashley Marshall and children Antony and Mia.
