Shelly Ann Fryman (Heil)
June 4, 1982- October 11, 2023
Shelly was a lifelong resident of Darrington, WA. She was born to Rusty Heil and Sally Jelvik (Heil) on June 4, 1982. She graduated from Darrington High School in 2000. Shelly married the love of her life, Ken Fryman, on June 22, 2008.
In 2012, she completed an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice with the goal of becoming a law enforcement officer. However, in May of that year, she was involved in a life-altering automotive accident that left her wheelchair-bound. Despite her challenges, she persevered and made progress on several occasions towards walking again.
In 2019, Shelly was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She faced the disease head-on and overcame it twice, proving to be a true fighter. Even during her extended hospital stay, Shelly remained determined to earn her Real Estate License, which she achieved September 2020. She sold 23 homes in less than two years, demonstrating her hard work, dedication, and unbeatable spirit.
Shelly’s impact went beyond her professional achievements. She was an active member of the Darrington Community, working with the Darrington Community Center board on several projects as well as helping members of the community any way she could. Shelly loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. She looked forward to her yearly family vacation to Spectacle Lake and cherished every moment spent there.
Shelly is survived by her husband- Ken Fryman, parents- Rusty (Delores) Heil, Sally (Larry) Jelvick, sisters- Debbie (Kyle) Curtis, Deanna (Stan) McMillion, mother-in-law- Margie Hemmer, bonus children- Mackenzie and Ashley, dogs- Gracie I, Gracie II and Gus, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and she cherished each one of them.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to be made in her honor to Darrington Memorial Dinners, PO Box 698, Darrington, WA 98241
Memories

I have always loved Shelly and Andria’s solid friendship. From preschool until the last days. I am so, so, so sorry you are enduring the most awful loss of both Shelly and Dee. It is an unfathomable loss of these beautiful women. There is nothing I can say. Sending love to you all.
From Judy J O'Connor
Shelly's leaving our world has left a huge void in our community. She faced life head on with so much energy. She always smiled no matter what life threw at her. She will be missed, I will miss her very much. The way she always ended her texts with "HA" She was truly a special person.

Shelly, I admired you so very much!! With all you had going on in your personal life you still gave 100% to your family & friends. You accomplished so much while fighting for your health!! You were a true warrior!! I remember the day we chatted in the Shell parking lot. The conversation we had was a hard one but you amazed me with your smile & just by talking about it.
You will be missed forever!!
