Shirley Doreen Madsen

Shirley moved with her family to Whatcom County, where she remained as a resident, graduating from Meridian High School.

Everett and Shirley were married on August 16, 1952.  They were married 65 years before Everett’s passing in 2017.

She was active in the community, and was a member of the Gooseberry Pt. Women’s Fire Auxiliary helping to raise funds of the volunteer fire department.  Shirley was a long time employee of the Ferndale Pharmacy, and later in life Everett and herself travelled extensively in their 5th wheel.

Shirley enjoyed thrift stores, garage sales, reading, knitting, crocheting and spending time with family.  Both she and Everett enjoyed playing rousing card or board games with friends and family.  Shirley will be remembered for her gregarious personality.

Survived by son Larry Madsen and Grace Gorsari, son Kent and Tami Madsen, daughter Kelly Madsen and Jim Edwards, granddaughter Rachel and John Kay, great grandson Sebastian.
