Timothy Wayne Bollinger

Service Information

Timothy never wanted a funeral or memorial service, he only asked that his ashes will be spread in the places he had the most history in, which are on both the East and West Coasts, as well as up on Mt. Baker. His daughters and closest confidants will fulfill his wishes.

Timothy (Tim) Bollinger of Bellingham Washington left this earth on the early morning of June 28th, 2024. Tim passed away of natural causes at home with his long time best friend, roommate, and care taker Dennis Caron, at his side. Tim was born on September 13th of 1955, in Bellingham Washington. At the time of his departure he was residing in Mt. Vernon Washington but had not lived there very long. He was in Bellingham for the previous few decades.

Tim graduated from Sehome High school in June 1974. He played football for the Sehome Mariners High School team. After leaving high school, Tim followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the Navy. Tim spent two years serving our country on the U.S.S. Constellation before he was Honorably discharged in 1976.

Tim loved to spend his time fishing, camping, and just being outside. Besides being with his children, and grandchildren, Tim was the happiest when he was outside in nature. Anywhere on Mt. Baker was his favorite place to be, especially fishing on the Nooksack river. Tim also enjoyed camping on Mt. Baker. He was a lifelong, diehard fan of the Seattle Seahawks, just like his father; spending many Sundays yelling and cheering at the television for the Seattle team. Tim tried to settle down on the East Coast before he decided to move back out west and stay in Washington close to his parents and siblings.

Tim joined his mother and father, Afton Paul and Loretta Bollinger in heaven. As well as his sister, Paula Bollinger. Tim left behind his sisters Shari Bollinger, Valeri Bollinger, Deanna (and Scott) Kennedy, Carrie (and Jim) Anderson.

Timothy had three beloved daughters and six grandchildren whom he left behind. Christina (and Ira) Kettle. Their four children Krista, Ivan, Isaac, and Karissa. Sarah Bollinger and her daughter Olivia Haskin. Amber (and Mark) Laurendeau and their daughter Emmalee Laurendeau. As well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Although miles apart, Tim’s three daughters and his grandchildren are the ones he held most dear. He loved to be called grandpa Tim by his grandchildren.

The family is not asking for any donations but if you feel inclined, please donate to charities that benefit veterans.
