Wayne Alan Jordan, 73, passed away on January 1, 2026, at Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham WA.
Born on April 26, 1952, Wayne grew up with a strong sense of community and a love for the outdoors. He attended Meridian High School, where he excelled in sports and graduated with the class of 1970. A skilled craftsman, Wayne ran his own roofing and gutter company and was known as a handyman of many trades. He often took on odd jobs to lend a hand to friends, embodying his generous spirit.
Wayne found true joy in nature-camping and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, especially in the mountains surrounding Sumas. He was known for his kind heart, gentle demeanor, sharp sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Johnnie Johnson-Jordan, whom he married on September 12, 2024, surrounded by their daughter Sarah and many family members. He is also survived by his brother Ron Jordan of Sumas; daughters Sarah Froneberger and Leslie Jordan; son Ryan Jordan; and grandchildren Bianca, Madisen, Ethan, Elicia, and Wyatt. His extended family includes many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Glenn and Ruby Traylor; mother Fern Traylor Postlewait; father Phil Jordan; sister Diane Clark; and a baby sister he barely knew.
Wayne's memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy of kindness and love continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
