William P. Joyner
William "Johnny" Petty Joyner Jr, 79, was born in the hills of Rocky Mt, NC to Delia & William Joyner on August 2, 1933. After serving in the Navy, he was employed the next 40 years at Georgia Pacific tissue mill. He married his bride Anita Hilton on February 21, 1964, and cherished her for the next 49 years.
He had 2 brothers, James (deceased) and Jasper (Marge) Joyner and sister BettyJane Perry. His children are; Pam, Sylvia, and Mike Joyner, Jodi (Curt) Clark, Laurie Callahan, and Leslie (Moe) Morris; fifteen grandchildren; Shannon Fong, Tera DeRita, Beth Maas, Katrina Thomas, Teri (Damien) Cribbs, Jason Triplett, Robbie (Megan) Stiles, Leah Triplett, Kristina Joyner, Nicole Nickerson, Michael Joyner Jr., Brandon Nickerson, William Joyner, River Clark, Auvin Cunningham and twelve great grandchildren.
He has many other relatives and an abundance of friends. He was an avid bowler for many years and a faithful Eagle member.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Eagles F.O.E #31; this club held a special place in his heart for many years.
