Alexander North
Alexander “Alec” North, age 65, passed away Sunday, December 2nd, at their family home in Lynden, Washington. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Wendy; and son, Michael. Alec had been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s.
Alec worked as a parts counterman for NAPA Auto Parts in Everson for more than 20 years. He also served his community as a volunteer EMT firefighter for the Laurel Fire Department for 24 years. He loved to help people and often referred to himself as a “mechanical missionary,” repairing cars for those in need while boldly sharing his personal faith in Jesus Christ.
We thank God for His mercy and grace. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Whatcom Hospice for the loving care that they blessed Alec and his loved ones with.
He fought the good fight and finished his race.
Memories
From L Chandler
Dear Kathy and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Alec sounds like such a loving man who wanted to help others. Feelings can overwhelm us and take away our comfort. Since Alec loved Jesus, I wanted to share a comforting scripture that you can look at in your Bible at a convenient time that works for you. Its found in 2 Corinthians 1:3,4.

From Kristi McCue
Dear Kathy, Wendy & Michael,
Scott and I wanted to let you know we are praying for you during this difficult time. With Alec's faith in Jesus and His salvation, we know that this separation isn't forever. The Bible says in John 14:1-4 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." What an incredible promise to cling to! Alec is whole again. The disease that took his mind and body is no longer. He is celebrating with our Lord & Savior! Matthew 5:4 says "Blesses are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." May the peace of God surround you and hold you close during this time of grief. Much love from our family to yours. :)
