Allan D. Phillips
Bellingham,WA- Allan Douglas Phillips passed away peacefully at Whatcom Hospice House on January 19, 2022 after a hard fought battle with blood cancer.
He was born in Santa Ana, CA on April 16,1943 to Harry and Elsie Phillips. He then moved to Seattle where he spent his childhood and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. He joined the military and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He then moved on to Western Washington University where he graduated with a degree in Business.
Allan will be remembered for his friendly nature, his bright smile and his love of all things sports. His quick wit and sense of humor was something he kept right up until the end. He spent many years chasing the sun living in Maui, Las Vegas, and Arizona. He adored his family, especially those grandchildren and was always excited to hear about their activities.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his son Jeff Phillips and daughter Kristen Mounts (James) and five grandchildren; Jaden and Andi Phillips, and Logan, Grace and Connor Mounts.
The family would like to thank the doctors at SCCA and Peace Health for their excellent care as well as a special thank you to Whatcom Hospice House nurses and staff for taking such great care of Allan in his final weeks.
