Angie Mae Parnell

Service Information

There will be a Celebration of Her Life and Family on October 6th, 2012 at 1pm in Birch Bay State Park. See details below.

Angie Mae Parnell, from Bellingham Washington, passed away on the 22nd of September, 2012, at the age of 59, at her home in Bellingham, Washington.

Angie was born on the 9th of August, 1953 in Queen Charlotte City, British Columbia to Mae and Joseph. She is survived by her siblings Rocky, Cameron, Florence, and Phyllis; and preceded in death by Pam, Maggie, and Francis.

At a young age Angie gave birth to her beloved son Lance, then met and married her first love Ed. Shortly, after she gave birth to her beautiful daughter Sheryl on Christmas Eve. Sadly, young love was not meant to last and Angie and Ed parted ways.

Then in 1978 Angie met and began a great Alaskan adventure on Prince of Wales Island with Bob Hallmark. Angie and Bob shared many years full of laughter, love and families. They enjoyed boating, fishing, and becoming active and loved members of their community. Angie gained a beautiful step-daughter Serena, but sadly, during a summer break trip Angie and Bob also endured a pain that no parent should know when they lost Serena.

With broken hearts, but hopeful spirits Angie and Bob returned to family in Bellingham where they lived together for 10 years on Hallmark Lane. Similar to the changing tides that Angie so loved, her life once again changed course and lead her and Bob in two different directions.

Angie would then be blessed one final time with her partner Rick Endersby; whom she cherished and looked forward to walking hand in hand toward their golden years together. Once again, Angie became the step-mother to two more rambunctious, fun and lovely little girls Sara and Rachel. Even though Angie and Rick should have had many years left to them, fate had a different plan. Rick was overheard on many occasions telling Angie she was his Angel.

Over the years Angie’s family has continued to grow and change, with more members then could be counted, but she loved and always thought of each and every one of them.

Throughout her life Angie chose to wear many hats in her career. From cashier to line supervisor, where she was always respected and loved as a co-worker and friend. Angie always had an open, warm and caring heart. She also had the innate ability to tell you exactly how she saw any situation. While some called it punchy, or feisty, others called her spunky, but all agreed that everything she said or did was from the heart.

In her free time Angie enjoyed the outdoors, and reading; but her greatest joy was to make beautiful crocheted blankets, needlepoint, cross stitch and lace for her friends and family. Most who received these gifts considered them beautiful works of art, and cherish them always.

As Angie passes on to the next life she leaves behind her greatest treasures her son Lance, daughter Sheryl and grandsons Cory and Nicholas; each inherited her strength, bravery, free spirit, and warm loving heart.

I will always cherish the memories of visiting Auntie Angie on Hallmark Lane. Visiting her in Bellingham was always one of my favourite childhood memories. That and also when her and Uncle Bob would come down to visit my mom driving the old Model T (I think). One things Auntie always had going was that she always knew how to make an entrance. I know she is in loving arms with my mom Maggie, auntie Pam, auntie Fran, Nonny, and Chinny. You will be missed Auntie.
Love Tina Jean.
