Anton Klaver

Anton died peacefully at his home in Bellingham WA on April 18, 2021.

Anton was born on June 3,1929 in Middelburg, Netherlands to Adriaan and Maryke Klaver. He was one of seven children. After WW II Anton immigrated to the United States where he joined the Air Force. Once he was out of the Air Force, Anton obtained his US citizenship. He proceeded to attend Berkeley University and obtained his degree in Geology. When employed by Mobil Oil Corporation, Anton was assigned overseas to Benghazi, Libya.This is where he met his “soon to be wife” - Ellen Cadby. They were married in Benghazi. Later, he was reassigned to the US where his two children were born.

Anton is survived by his wife of 62 years -Ellen, son-Adrian (Nancy), daughter-Sarah Jane, grandson-Michael (Ashlee), great granddaughter- Brooklynn and sister-Els.

Per Anton’s wishes, no service will be held.
