Carolyn A. Armstrong

Carolyn Ann Armstrong (Turner), 68, passed away December 22, 2021 , at PeaceHealth St. Joe’s Hospital in Bellingham Washington following complications of Covid-19 Pneumonia.

Carol was born September 1, 1953 to Clearance Turner and Hilda Overman in Hawthorne, Nevada. She graduated from Bellingham High School in 1972. She spent her young-adult life working in Seafood Canneries before spending 13 years working in the insurance field for Unity Group Insurance Company before retiring in 2013. She was an active member of the American Legions where she would spend every spared second for as long as she could with her friends who became family.

Carol was survived by her sisters Patricia Hamaker (Bruce), Kathie Hollandsworth, daughter Tamra Loehr (Tod), grandchildren Ana-Leya Loehr (Zack), Ashlyn Castro (Christian), Avy Mae Matronic, and Harrlee Matronic, and her 6 great-grandchildren who she loved more than life itself; As well as numerous neieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her mother Hilda Overman and Father Clearence Turner, sisters Mary Chaplain and Rosemarie Penn; Brothers Leonard Turner, William (Bill) Turner, and Joseph (Joe) Greco.

Despite being wheelchair bound for almost the last decade, Carol lived her life to the fullest. She took pride in everything related to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took on every challenge that arose with keeping up with them. She truly had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up the room. She will be truly missed by all.
