Christian Cody Gilet
Celebration of Life:
Lighthouse Mission Ministries will hold a memorial open to families and friends of those recently lost. The service will be held at Basecamp on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at 10am.
The family and many friends celebrated Christian’s life and the joy he brought us all on Sunday August 11, 2024 at the Squalicum Yacht Club.
Born and raised in Bellingham, WA, Christian Cody Gilet, at the tender age of 26, was called home by his angels.
Christian was a passionate musician, known for his love of the guitar and his talent for writing music. He had a remarkable ability to hear a song and teach himself how to play it. Christian was writing music and performing in front of the camera before he embarked on his teenage years, the family holds these memories tight. In his adult years, Christian began writing about his unwavering faith in GOD as well as fictional stories about real life events.
Christian brightened our days with his infectious smile. He brought us all laughter, with his silly antics. He brought us comfort with kind words and non-judgement when we were down. The following quotes from family & friends are a testimony of how cherished he truly was.
Remembered by Family:
Christian’s family fondly recalls him as “a very talented young man with an infectious smile and a big heart, so big that even the people around you felt it.”
“I will always remember Christian as one of the most charismatic, nonjudgmental, loving, hardworking, handsome, and talented people I have ever met in my life.”
“My dear sweet Christian, the sweetest, most loving, funny, kind, handsome boy, is with his angels, but he should be with me, with the family that adored him.”
“His loving and sincere smiles were for everyone, his family, his friends, as well as for complete strangers.”
“You truly were a genuine person with such a kind heart even if you suffered from addiction it never changed your heart, you were just held captive from reaching your true potential. I love you for trying I’m proud of your efforts and I miss you so much!”
“We will miss you forever and know that you are with our Lord and Savior, watching over all of us.”
Cherished by Friends:
“You were such a cool person and you always cared about everyone.”
“Such an incredibly kind, caring, funny, and talented guy.”
“RIP to one of the most pure and real friends I’ve been blessed to have. Someone who saw all my levels of crazy and calm and sad and happy and never once judged me for it. Someone who made me laugh when I didn’t feel like it was possible.”
“You were always the guy to try to make everyone laugh and you sure as hell did that.”
“He was definitely a better friend to me than I was to him, and I am just thankful for whatever reason he thought highly of me even though I never gave him a reason to.”
“Christian was a good dude... and a good friend. He always made me smile and laugh... such a genuine soul gone way too soon.”
“My brother. My friend. You encouraged me, prayed for me, and inspired me through your triumphs. You already know, but I can’t wait to give you a hug and let you know how much you impacted my life and my faith.”
“He was gifted. The biggest impression he left was how smart he was. On another level. Political and religious. Very aware of the world around him. Not just what was up close.”
