Donald Lee Chapman
A Celebration of Life potluck will be held on November 30th, 2017 at American Legion Post 7 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. All are welcome. Thank you to Dale Pulisevich, Heidi Munkres, and all the card buddies and friends at the Legion for arranging this special time.
Donald Chapman passed away peacefully at the Whatcom Hospice House on October 29th, 2017, at the age of 77. He had served in the Marine Corps and was Honorably Discharged in 1957. He worked on oil tankers for 20 years as an Able Bodied Seaman and Bosun. He retired in 1998 from Arco Marine/BP Oil. Don was a great golfer and loved to play cards at the American Legion Post 7 and at the Bellingham Senior Center. He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard G. Chapman and Kathryn M. Kolodziej and his daughter, Kelly Sue Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Zella M. Chapman; children, Scott Chapman, Kathy Yeung and Kindy Lou Chapman and stepchildren, Scott and Heidi Munkres; sisters Lila Muldoon, Paula W. Sheets and Sandy M. Cifaldi; brothers, Leonard G. Kolodziej, Edward S. Kolodziej; as well as many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. We would also like to acknowledge life-long friend, Don Benjamin.
