Florence J. Zysset

Florence Joan Zysset "Joan" age 81 of Bellingham, WA passed away on Monday November 26, 2012 at her home surrounded by family and her dogs.

Joan, the youngest of 5 children, was born September 7, 1931 in Bellingham, WA to Enoch and Ruth Freeberg. Joan, was a life long resident of Bellingham who, in her younger years enjoyed riding bikes with her friend Phyllis, playing on the tide flats at Bellingham bay, spent many nice days at Lake Samish, and climbed trees in her father's orchard. She was a daddy's girl and was often referred to as his hind pocket, as she was never far behind him. Joan, knew how to play the piano and accordion and was very good at it, she even performed in concerts. Joan, graduated from Bellingham High School in 1948.

Joan married Orville Zysset on December 2, 1950 and had 3 children together; Kathie, Zoe Ann, and Carl. She worked as a nurse at Needhams Care facility at night and was a homemaker during the day.

She is survived by her sister, June Dygert. Nieces and Nephews; Ruthann Moody (Richard), Susan Farlin, Neil Dygert Jr. (Alice) all of Michigan. Sunny Lee Gidner, Judy Nelson, and Holly Robinson (Ken). Her children; Kathie Champagne (Cliff) of Bellingham, Zoe Ann Dill (Michael) of Vallejo California, and Carl Zysset (Robin) of Bellingham. Her Grandchildren; April Champagne (Mike) of Bellingham, Kristi Mayse of Jefferson, KT, Jennifer Dill-Williams of Marysville WA, Kimberley Dill of Vallejo CA, Matthew Dill (Michelle) of Vallejo, CA, Tanya McCutchen (Dave) of Ferndale WA, Terri Andreason (Josh) of Bellingham WA, Traci Zysset of Bellingham WA, and Tayler Zysset (Josh) of Bellingham WA. Great Grandchildren; Amy, Toni, DeAnna, Kaitlyn, Joey, Nick, Nicole, Dylan, Mikayla, Madison, and soon to be Ryder. Her good friends who visited her regularly; Gene, Linda, and Bill.

She is also leaving behind her beloved dogs; Lil' Bit, Kodi, and Grizz and of course her grand pups she claimed as well; Presley, Luna, Sissy, Buster and Harley.

She was preceded in death by; her sister Elsa Freeberg, her brother Bill Freeberg, and her baby brother shortly after birth, Carl Freeberg. Husband Orville, Uncle Hjelmer, Grandson Kevin, Great Grandkids Emerald and James.

The family will be having a get together at her home Saturday December 8, 2012 12pm to 3 pm.
