Florence Wood
At her request, no service will be held.
Florence Wood passed away on Monday, April 29th at her home in Custer.
Flo has resided in Whatcom County the last 54 years. She enjoyed raising her four children on her small farm in Custer. She loved gardening, taking care of her animals, and sincerely loved her goats and dogs. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed entertaining. Playing cards with her family brought her joy, and spending time at the casinos was fun as well. Florence enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping when she got the chance because it brought her closer to nature.
She was a great mom to Melissa, Kelly, Dennis and Theresa. She was a super grandma to Joey, Ashley, Jason, Anna, Matthew, Adam, Heidi and Tristan. She is survived by her mother Margaret, brother, Keith and brother, Donald and several close friends.
The family wishes to thank all her friends for their generous love and support to 'Good ole Flo'. Smile when you think of her and she'll smile back.

Theresa, your mom will be missed, she was always so full of energy. I don't think I ever saw her take a break when she was at the FFA Booth or at the Grange. Just like the "Energizer Bunny" she, just kept on going and going, and at lighting speed. She put up a good fight.

Wow. I loved Flo's sense of humor and having her as a friend. I'm going to miss stopping by her place and visiting, drinking beer and just having a good yak. We had a great time sharing funny e-mails too. And that voice! I can haer it right now. I'll be looking for her when I cross over myself! Godspeed Flo!
