John Lawson
A Life Celebration for John will be held From 12noon to 4pm, Sept. 23 2012, at Glen Echo Community Club, 7694 Goodwin Road Everson WA. This is a potluck so bring a dish to share.
Directions: From Bellingham go north on Guide Meridian Rd. to Pole Rd., take a right on Pole Rd. Follow through Everson to Goodwin Rd. You can also go north on Hwy 9 to Everson then turn right go to Goodwin Rd.
John F. Lawson died September 10, 2012 from cardiac complications at St. Joseph Hospital, Bellingham, WA
He was preceded in death by his mother Myrtle Lawson, Father Virda C. Lawson, brothers Lester E. Lawson and James H. Lawson and sister Pocahontas Mann.
He is survived by his wife Barbara L. Lawson, brother Virda C. Lawson(June), and sister Linda S. Lawson and many nieces and nephews.
John was loved by all; people and animals. He was a simple man with simple tastes.
He loved to barbecue. He loved his vehicles; but most of all he loved his wife of 40 years.
He knew no stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone. He had strong opinions on everything but never behind your back. He always tried to keep his word. He loved to fish and tried hunting twice but never went again.
He loved his trips to Eastern Washington to visit his brother and extended family and when possible go to the Combine Demolition Derby in Linde, WA. He also liked to go the casinos but never spent more than ten dollars each visit and the visits were few and far between.
He struggled the last fifteen years after his stroke but he never gave up and will be missed by all.
