Service Information

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21st, at Zuanich Park in Bellingham WA

Mary M. Giles, age 66, passed away on January 11th 2023 surrounded by her daughters Summer and Mariah, along with her grandsons Jesse and Sam. She was born in Cloverdale, California on February 29th, 1956 to Hugh and Velma Palmer. She made Bellingham her home in 1982 and had lived there for over 40 years. Mary is preceded in death by her mother and father, her beloved husband Donald Robert Giles and her son James Micheal Giles. She leaves behind her two daughters Summer and Mariah Giles, her siblings Jack and Chuck Palmer, and sister Cathy (husband Felix) Garcia. Her nine grandchildren Jesse, Johnathan (wife Atalia), Jaden, Kolby, Ely, Ariyah, Barry, Nevaeh and Addie, her two great grandchildren, Kaydence and Logan, along with her very loved nieces and nephews and numerous others, who thought of her as either a mom or grandma.

Mary held a special place in everyone's heart that she came across. Her shine and spontaneous antics were untouchable and her love for everyone was unconditional. Her love for her dogs and her grandbabies was endless. She enjoyed being out in nature and doing crafts with her grandbabies. She thrived in being a very involved mom and grandma. She loved her plants and collecting rocks from everywhere she went, and she always made us smile and laugh, as her imagination ran wild with what she would see in them. She touched so many lives. Our family was blessed to have her. She was loved by many and will be forever missed, but will always remain in our hearts.
