Nathan "Lynn" Pettit

Service Information

Lynn requested no services.

Nathan "Lynn" Pettit joined our family of angels March 12, 2020 after a long and strenuous battle with COPD.

He was born September 8, 1957, the 5th and youngest son of Marvin and Madrene Pettit of Missouri.

Lynn’s father passed away in 1963, and in 1965 Lynn moved with his Mother and two siblings to Whatcom County, WA. The family lived in the Everson and Sumas areas and he graduated from Nooksack Valley High School, class of 1976. He became a Stacker Operator at the Great Western Saw Mill, where he worked for 42 years, retiring in 2018.

Lynn enjoyed his retirement, spending time with his children and granddaughters, enjoying visits with family and friends and pursuing his love for lake fishing.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leonard, LeRoy, and Larry Pettit all from Missouri.

He was a loving father to son Andrew of Everson, daughter Danielle (Aaron) Olson and granddaughters Ember & Iris Olson of Bellingham, brother Les Pettit (Laura) of Everson, sister Leota (Rick) Lagerwey of Lynden, sister-in-law Connie Pettit of Doniphan MO, and many caring nephews, nieces, extended family and special friends Megan, Lon, and Cage Jones.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Megan Jones for the exceptional loving care and friendship shown to Lynn throughout the years and our appreciation to the Hospice House Staff for their compassionate care and comfort.

Lynn will be missed by many family members and dear friends.

From Justin Lagerwey

Andrew and Danielle-

I wanted to extend my deepest condolences to you both in the passing of Uncle Lynn. I have a lot of good memories from before you all were born up until the last time that I saw him. Though we grew apart as we got older, I will not foget those times what we did have as all of us cousins together. From him living in the mobile home by Dunny's to him living in Sumas. He always could give you something to laugh at.
