Pamela Jane Austin

Pamela Jane Austin passed away peacefully in her Airstream in Birch Bay on Tuesday, January 3, after a 12 year journey with Alzheimer's disease. She was born May 13, 1941, to Harold and Clarice Ferrier in Mankato, MN. Pam was a soulmate, a mother, a graduate of Penn State University, a registered nurse, a multi engine rated pilot who helped build her own plane, and a blue water sailor who sailed around the world in her 31 foot sailboat. She lived her dreams. Pam is survived by her husband Steve, her special cat Brissy, sons Kevin and Kyle Bate, brother Tom Ferrier, and sisters Barbara Dunphy, Jennifer Hayes, and Marcia Gaspar, and many special friends in Blaine who made Alzheimer's so much easier for her.
