Thomas W. "Bill" Evans
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 23 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Church, 4173 Meridian in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Komo Kulshan Ski Club, PO Box 30103, Bellingham, WA 98228.
Thomas William “Bill” Evans was born to Vaughn and Mary Evans on April 19, 1924 and passed on August 9, 2017 at Whatcom Hospice House. He was a life-long resident of Bellingham and graduated from Bellingham High School.
Bill was an avid snow skier. He skied competitively for many years and for pleasure up until three years ago. He instilled the love of the mountains and skiing in all of his children. He also enjoyed trap shooting. He supplied many a turkey to family members as he won competitions throughout the state.
Bill worked as a logger, truck driver and land developer most of his life. He owned and operated T.W. Evans Logging.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandchildren Chad Evans and Staci Borelan; and most recently, his son Gage Evans. He is survived by his wife Susan, two sons Blake and Christopher Evans, a grandson, Jacob Evans and a great grandson Derrick Bales. Also surviving are his sister Glennis (George) Thomas and nephews Vaughn (Cherie), Bryan, Craig (Susan) and Mark (Connie) Thomas.
He will be missed by family and friends and two special Miniature Schnauzers, Bowser and Rufus.
