Per his request, no funeral services will be held. The family invites you to join them at Woodlawn Cemetery to share stories of his life on July 29th at 2PM. Alternatively, if you spent the day ‘stepping into his shoes’ and enjoying yourself with some delicious food and doing something you love, he would definitely smile.
Bill Mitchell, 84, left his family for the vast ocean of the Great Beyond to do some fishing on June 25th, 2022. No doubt he will find time to schmooz with the other Elks that went before him as well as asking his wife Sharon if she'll make him some sky-cookies.
He grew up in the Midwest and spent 6 years in the Navy. With his first wife, he leaves behind kids Chris (Anita), Laura & David.
After Bill married Sharon, they traveled extensively while he worked in the Telco industry, settling down to call Bellingham their home in 1982. They enjoyed taking the grandkids on their boat to fish and crab, and could often be found barbecuing on the deck.
He leaves behind stepkids Steve (Rose) & Rita and grandkids Cindy (Steve), Crystal, Jon & Ashley.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice or one of the many Veterans organizations.
